The Valley was the first inland region settled after the foundation of Perth and history has been preserved throughout the region. Many original buildings have been magnificently restored and made available to the touring public. Entry to the Valley can be through the southern gateway of Brookton via the Brookton Highway and follow the Great Southern Highway north from there via Beverley. Or enter via the northern town of Toodyay along the Toodyay Road and go south via Northam - either way you get past our beautiful town of York - :-)
Major arterial roads from Perth connect with York and Northam. The choices for a round trip are as numerous as they are interesting.
